My approach with patients and their families is to be welcoming and attentive, so that I can identify their healthcare needs. I try my best to listen carefully, as this is the best way for me to understand and address a patient's concerns and questions. The most rewarding part of my job is the connection and trust that is developed with patients. I strive to create an environment where questions and concerns are valued and heard.

Dr. Emily Tuthill grew up in rural central Maine and studied conservation biology at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, before earning her optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. Her training included rotations in pediatrics, low-vision rehabilitation, glaucoma services, and emergency eye care, providing extensive experience across a variety of eye care needs.
